Chyten Educational Services is now enrolling students in our after-school program for gifted and advanced students in grades 3 though 5.
This cutting edge program, called E.N.R.I.C.H. (Educating and Nurturing to Reach Intellectual and Creative Heights), is a weekly two-hour class designed to challenge students and to expand their expectations of themselves. This innovative new class is offered on two different days (Mondays and Fridays, from 3:30 – 5:30), and costs $68 per two-hour session. Classes are offered twice a week to guarantee the utmost in flexibility for parents, with Friday’s session being an encore of Monday’s material.
Our instructor, Vara Cooper received a master’s level certificate in Academically and Intellectually Gifted Education from UNCC, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in English from NYU and a Master’s Degree in English from the City University of New York-Hunter College.

E.N.R.I.C.H. is an extension of the North Carolina Standard Course of Study, and will teach students to organize ideas and information; comprehend and enjoy various types of reading material; interpret visual, verbal, auditory, and other types of media; communicate effectively in a variety of situations on a wide range of topics; practice both inductive and deductive reasoning to investigate relationships between details and generalizations; generate questions for limitless inquiry; examine and analyze the mechanics and usage of the English language; synthesize knowledge and inquiry to solve problems and answer questions; draft, edit and publish original works of fiction and non-fiction writing; write, direct, perform adaptations of written, oral, musical, and visual texts; and more.
